New York

The last week we were in NM, Carl and I decided to go to New York to see my parents on their mission and to have a fun get away without the boys. It was so good to see my parents. It had been over a year since we said good bye to them. Only 9 1/2 months left for them (but who's counting right?). They took us all around NY and showed us a wonderful time. Some of the things we did were visit the empire state building, saw STOMP, Wicked, road bikes around Central Park, ate breakfast at Norma's (if you ever go to NY don't miss out on this place), tour of West Point Academy, and of course shopped. Thanks mom and dad for such a fun visit. Here are the photos:
Bikes are definitely the way to go through Central Park. We had walked all day and when our appointment came around to go rent the bikes at 3:00 I think we were all wondering why we had signed up for this. But it was a really fun thing to do...I highly recommend it.This is one of the chapels at West Point. We really enjoyed this tour.
Like I said at the top, we left our boys behind. It was such a treat to spend the quality time with Carl. Teri and Troy were so kind, and brave, to watch them for us for five days. Every time we called the boys, they were so excited to tell us about the fun time they were having. They had such a great time with Teri and Troy. It was fun because they would send us pics of the boys throughout the week. They even braved taking the boys to the New Mexico state fair and rodeo TWO time. Here are some pictures of them during their fun week with Teri and Troy. Thanks again guys! We owe you big time.

One of Ben's favorite toys is K'NEX (it's also one of Troy's favorite toys). So Troy, with some help from Ben, constructed their own Empire state building
